The teachers at the Rhinoacademie are no regular teachers. They both have expertise in their own field. They can, for that reason add several things to the course. Because of their long experiences they can both tell a lot about design and work strategies, ways of building things and show their specialties to the group, things they came up with in their branches. Rinus Roelofs is a specialist in automating commands in Rhino, does know a lot of scripting and Grasshopper, the scriptingmodule of Rhino. Michiel van der Kley specialised in lighting and rendering with different renderengines. He is the author of the book 'Working with Rhinoceros 4.0'. Besides he is specialising in the Betaversion of iRhino, the version for MAC. |
Michiel van der Kley Michiel
van der Kley [1962] started designing and producing furniture for
his own company in 1989. After several years, working as a 'selfproducing
designer' he decided to emphasise exclusively on the designing of
furniture. Meanwhile his designs are being produced by leading furniturecompanies

Rinus Roelofs Rinus
Roelofs was born in 1954. After studying Applied Mathemathics at
the Technical University of Enschede, he took a degree from the
Enschede Art Academy with a specialization in sculpture. His commissions
come largely from municipalities, institutions and companies in
the Netherlands, but his work has been exhibited further afield,
including in Rome as part of the Escher Centennial celebrations
in 1998. |
